About us
Why we run a rescue without a kennel.
The Chester County Suicide Prevention Partnership decreases suicide in Chester County, Pennsylvania through increased awareness and community education. We offer evidence-based trainings such as QPR, CALM, MHFA, and Connections, run support groups for loss survivors, and convene a quarterly partnership meeting open to the public. Our work is prevention-focused and community-driven.
CCSPP is a small, partnership-structured nonprofit that coordinates suicide prevention activity in Chester County, Pennsylvania. We do not provide clinical treatment. We equip neighbors, teachers, coaches, clergy, and first responders with evidence-based tools to notice warning signs, have the conversation, and connect people to the right help.
Our tone is deliberate. Suicide is preventable. Help is available. Most people who survive a crisis go on to live long and meaningful lives. We are careful with language because how we talk about suicide changes whether people reach out.
Quarterly partnership meetings are open to the public, and we welcome anyone who wants to learn or contribute: mental health professionals, educators, faith leaders, family members, and anyone with lived experience.
Leadership and governance
We are governed by a five-member volunteer board that meets quarterly. Day-to-day operations are led by a small paid staff. Full bios and our annual Form 990 are available on request.
Financial transparency
Our most recent audit is available upon request at [email protected]. Over 91% of expenses fund direct animal care. Administrative costs run under 6%; fundraising under 3%.
